Rita Ora is back with a brand new hit single titled ‘Poison’. The new X factor Judge stepped away from the limelight for a while, not long after her split from DJ Calvin Harris.
Rita recently opened up about the split in a Marie Curie interview claiming:
“I thought he had my back.”
The singer spoke of the heartbreak and described herself as being in awe of the international DJ. Now moved on, and happier than ever dating Ricky Hill, (Tommy Hilfiger’s son) Rita is back centre stage and working again on her music.
Poison went straight to the top 10 in the charts and has close to 16 million you tube views. So it’s safe to say she’s still got it and she is wasting no time back in the studio developing her highly anticipated second studio album.
Big things are expected from this second album with the first official single I will Never Let You Down which she ironincally wrote and produced with ex boyfriend Calvin Harris. Big collaborations are set for the album including big-time rapper Jay Z and worldwide success singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran; who she described as one of her best friends in an interview with NOISEY. On her relationship with the singer she said:
“I did this incredibly beautiful song with Ed about our friendship; he’s one of my best friends. It’s amazing having a friend in this industry of the opposite sex that you haven’t hooked up with. He’s such a legend. I respect him in so many ways”
The album is expected to hit the stores later this year, however having recently bagged a chair alongside Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole on hit ITV talent show X Factor, the date could be pushed back to 2016.
