Will Smith Makes Musical Comeback at Latin Grammys

Will Smith may be 47, but he is still a busy man in the entertainment industry. While he is well-known for starring in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, he’s also starred in movies such as Men in Black, Hitch and The Pursuit of Happyness. He’s taken a break from his rapping days, when he was part of “DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince.” He started to shift his focus to television and movies, but he made a big return Thursday night, performing at the Latin Grammy Awards.

ET Online states Smith performed a remix of Bomba Estereo’s song “Fiesta.” He had a little help, as the Columbian band joined him in his performance. It was Smith’s first live performance since 2005, when he released his album Lost and Found. The performance was one of the highlights of the night, as it brought the house down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Of course, Smith had his family in the audience, cheering him on during the performance. According to US Weekly, his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and son, Trey Smith, were there to support him. You can check out his performance at the Latin Grammy Awards here:

For those Will Smith fans who feel this performance was a one-time thing, there’s no need to worry. Smith revealed plans to reunite with DJ Jazzy Jeff for a world tour in 2016. Perhaps it’s time to start getting reacquainted with his biggest hits, such as “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” “Summertime,” “Men in Black,” “Gettin’ Jiggy wit It,” and “Wild Wild West.”
